I have seen Matt for a variety of hip, neck, shoulder and back issues and have always come out feeling significantly better. He gives added value by recommending exercises and yoga poses to help the issue. His yoga classes are also excellent.

Matt has been brilliant at sorting out my lower back and hip problems. His yoga classes are excellent too.

I have seen Matt for back and shoulder problems for a few years now and have always had an excellent treatment. Matt is often booked up in advance so today I saw Nina and was again blown away by the knowledge and expertise offered. The treatment itself has helped to relieve my pain and she really worked into all the places that needed help. Just fantastic! Both therapists give sound advice and tips to take home. I always feel like I’m in safe hands. I would highly recommend Matt or Nina for sports and remedial massage and will definitely be booking in again soon.

Matt has worked on several soft tissues areas that I have had trouble with for sometime. Not only does he deal with the problem, he also helps identify how the problem arises thereby getting to the heart of the issue. Would thoroughly recommend!
About Matt
"Matt has been brilliant at sorting out my lower back and hip problems. His yoga classes are excellent too." - Louise S.
I have been practicing as a Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist since 2010 and have an LSSM Level 5 Diploma. I went on to train in Myofascial Bodywork with AnatomyTrains and am currently doing a BodyMaster modular diploma with John Gibbons which gives me a good all-round blend of skills to help diagnose and treat all kinds of musco-skeletal problems, covering postural retraining working on connective tissue (Fascia), manipulation of joints in the spine and pelvis and advanced stretching techniques along with the clinical deep massage.
I came into this vocation having been a Tree Surgeon, Firefighter and marathon runner and experienced subsequent back and postural problems and annoying sporting injuries. Having tried all sorts of approaches I found Sports Massage and hands on Injury Therapy the most effective treatment. This led me to increase my knowledge & get certified and I have not looked back. I know how it feels to not be able to compete in an event whilst nursing a pulled muscle or feeling out of alignment!
The physical side of my life and interests in ultra distance running, squash, Jiu-jitsu and my professional training in Yoga have given me a good background to understand how soft tissue therapy can really help sports people, yogis and ordinary working folk get the most out of their lives, thus helping me help you keep doing the things you love.
I mix my hands-on injury therapy with Yoga, having trained in YA200hr Sun Power Yoga in 2014. I use Yoga as a rehabilitation strategy giving you tried and tested exercises that can be done anywhere. I love Yoga and love teaching it on it’s own as a class or 1-2-1.
Helps the mind, body and soul.
About Nina
"Nina was very knowledgeable and professional. She made me feel very at ease and always explained what she was doing and why." - Jeannie P.
I have an LSSM Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Soft Tissue Therapy and Sports Massage.
I see many different types of people who have musculoskeletal pain, injury or dysfunction caused by many elements of our daily lives; sport can be a common factor but it is definitely not the only issue, emotional stresses and strains, desk work and driving to name a few can take their toll on our bodies.
I use a number of techniques including; myofascial release, trigger point, stretching, deep tissue massage and k-taping. I know personally how effective this type of treatment can be in aiding recovery from injury, improving soft tissue conditions and joint mobility.
I can offer advice on remedial exercises to speed up recovery and to help prevent injuries recurring.
I have worked with a wide range of people including those who are passionate about sports (horse riding, cyclists, racket sports, runners, HIIT enthusiasts) but equally see those who jobs and lifestyles have left them with aches and pains.
I am a keen squash player and yogi, but have enjoyed many sports including running, ballet and swimming.
WHAT IS A SPORTS MASSAGE?
This is a deep manipulation of the soft tissues of the body. Muscles, Ligaments, Tendons, Fascia etc. with the focus on one or more things such as rebalancing muscular imbalances, improving posture, promoting faster healing, preparing for or recovery from an event.
WHAT IS
A SPORTS MASSAGE?
DO I NEED TO BE SPORTY TO HAVE A SPORTS MASSAGE?
DO I NEED TO BE SPORTY?
Not at all. It is called a Sports Massage because it originated as a way of preparing, maintaining and rehabilitating sports people but you DO NOT HAVE TO BE SPORTY as it benefits anyone with soft tissues and in our opinion.
